Sasquatch! 2009

Overall, I've gained a killer tan, some virgin experiences (1st time at the gorge, a special cookie, etc), amongst bruises that will fade... a fonder appreciation for some incredible bands I was fortunate enough to see.

Personal Favorites:

Saturday:
-Yeah Yeah Yeah's have so much incredible energy! The Lead Singer was so crazy onstage, I instantly loved her!
-Bon Iver (Pronounced Bonny-Ver - ver like air with a v)... I always thought his stuff was kind of boring to listen to, but there's just something about his voice in person, some kind of sensitivity his voice possesses that comes alive on stage. "Skinny Love" nearly brought me to tears (gah I am so pathetic), but ah I was just grooving to it.
-Crystal Castles... I thought that they weren't going to be that great in person to be honest, but within the dance tent encaptured me into some kind of dark realm where the music shook me up just as much as the moshing crowd did on the outside. On the album, Alice Glass's voice seems too shrieky but it seems to remain kind of at a boring level. However, live - her voice really emphasized the words with the right loudness and length. Super energetic, so great.
-Passion Pit - unfortunately I was absolutely devastated during this set that I left (for some personal reasons) but let me add that my favorite song by them is "I've Got Your Number"... give it a listen!

Sunday:
-Nine Inch Nails - basically front row, but more second row because people were in my way.. I didn't mind. I was really surprised by the lead singer's versatility. He has a really great voice and is super passionate.
-The Murder City Devils, well the lead singer was very outspoken! Adding to a rocking time, he had some interesting on-stage theatrics (i.e. - kissing male bandmates, saying the music he put on was only for faggots, throwing stuff around)... kept his set really interactive and fun.
-Of Montreal - I wish so badly I had seen more of their set but I didn't leave NIN early enough to get to the Wookie stage. Anyways, they were dressed up in crazy outfits and had a crazy video playing in the background. They made me laugh, I danced, I want to see them again.
-DeadMau5 was really fun, I got tossed around by the crowd though.. definitely makes you want to thrash around to the upbeat music. I hadn't listened to his music before, but I will now if I want to stay up and get energized.

Monday (My FAVORITE day):
-Girltalk.. I saw him at capital hill block party and i wasn't that impressed. but then again, i was absolutely wasted that day.. however, his sasquatch set was so fun! He had people dancing on stage and I was front row and grooving the entire time.
-Chromeo - dj set... the singer wasn't singing live like he was at the capital hill block party but I didn't mind, they kept the set interesting and mixed in so many songs and fun techno beats, I never ever once got bored.

These two sets within two hours of each other made me the happiest girl! I left George, WA floating on a cloud.

hm doesn't look quite so bad in pictures, but it's quite a beaut of a battle scar from battling it to the front row of practically all my favorite artists at Sasquatch 2009.

Turn Me On

I dig boys that smell good. It's just a fact, or personal turn-on in my case....

In my book, besides a number of other "desirability" factors.. smelling delicious is incredibly attractive. Mind you, I naturally have a really sensitive sense of smell - but what really (literally!!!) gets my pulse going are these two.... whenever I come across guys that wear either of these scents, I know immediately mmmm! ;-)

Another thing to keep in mind is that regardless of whether or not these specific colognes fit your personality - personal scent is a key way to enhance your own style (& turn on some ladies haha)

This is Love.

I love this girl and that's that.
Her brown eyes.
The way her headband covers her face.
Her poofed up hair from the headband.
The accenting metal clasp on the headband.
'

I wish I knew her so I could spit some game at her and take her out on a date.

T and A

It's not about the tits and ass. It's about Terence and Alexia.

I bid you all on a thirsty thursday and a rambunctious night.

Adieu.

The Perfect Party Dress

One of my biggest vices is buying & wearing "The Perfect Party Dress":

You know the deal, strutting into a big party is awesome when you know you look good. My ideal party dress is form fitting and shows a lot of leg. I'm pretty low maintenance in that I don't really like to slave over what I'm going to wear, I just wanna throw something on with a pair of heels and dash out... leaves more time for flirting with strangers, cocktails and dancing the night into oblivion.

I'll share of my latest favorites with you :)

1) The Cut-Out Dress by Sophomore

&

2) Sweetheart Two-Toned Mini Dress by American Apparel

Ceaseless.

I am ceaseless to work. I never stop. I never stop. I never stop. There's always something to do. Something to do always. To always do something. Ramblings and rumblings with deterring grimaces and glances. It's a vicious warping cycle and we are victims to the whirl.

pop 9

Recently... my life in pictures:
because "I don't get homesick... I get love-sick"
pop 9 picture of my ex co-worker Santiago's hands before he got fired. I asked him why? He said "because I don't get homesick... I get love-sick."

dandelion
thought it would make a good picture... blowing a dandelion with my childhood friend Jasmine at Golden Gardens

kelly mason
Kelly @ Golden Gardens, I love what a surprise taking film pictures can be

fantasia

I get drunk and smoke too many cigarettes... too often. When I pull out my Nat Sherman Fantasia cigarettes, they get likened to crayons.

I used a pop 9 camera in all the pictures I took posted above... it's fun to bust out at parties, everybody always wants you to take a picture of them, especially with the flashy gold exterior. The flash is necessary, but it's a good one... kind of annoying because you have to turn it on when you wanna take a picture and let it load up.

me at the beach

New bikini from american apparel for a perfect fit for all the tiny girls in the world whose bottoms often are sized too big and result in a saggy butt... love it. I got the top in coral ice and black bottoms. The picture was taken in San Francisco at Ocean City Beach... the coloring of the swimsuit top is kind of off because of the colorsplash camera.. it's far more neon bright in person.
